  1. MECHANICS & RULES OF THE PROMOTION:
  2. The NWC’s Splash and Dash Promotion 2.0 is part of efforts by the NWC to increase revenue collection during December and January, reduce delinquency, encourage and reward good-paying customers. As such, the promotion is an additional mechanism to encourage customers to pay their water bills in full and on time.

    Customers who have no bill balances as at January 31, 2024 are eligible to be entered into competition.

    The selection of winners will be done on February 20, 2024, and prizes will be presented to persons after verification of proof of payment on the winning accounts.

    Rules For the Promotion:

    1. Entry for the Grand Prizes and Parish Prizes is limited to those customers who have no bill balances as at January 31, 2024
    2. Entry in the promotion is limited to residential water supply accounts
    3. Accounts benefiting from NWC staff water credit or other NWC special concessions are not eligible to participate.
    4. All employees of the NWC and their immediate relatives (parents, spouses, children and siblings) are not eligible for entry.
    5. Must be 18 years or older to be eligible.
    6. Each account qualifies for entry on its own merit.
    7. Winning prizes will be awarded to the individual who produces proof of payment on the selected account and not necessarily the owner of the account.
    8. Accounts qualify regardless of where the payment is made or by what means the payment is made if payment is received in full and by January 31, 2024.
    9. Promotion ends on January 31, 2024
    10. Promotion draw date – February 20, 2024
    11. Prize presentation date: Grand Prizes and Parish Prizes will be presented at a ceremony on March 27, 2024
    12. By accepting the prize, the winners consent to participation in related publicity activities coordinated by the NWC.
    13. Prizes to be awarded based on proof of payment and valid Identification.
    14. Prizes are non-transferrable
    15. By entering this promotion, the entrant accepts and agrees to the full terms, conditions, and rules of this promotion. Where necessary, winners must make themselves available for photographs and other public relations related appearances. Failure to appear for public relations activities will result in winner forfeiting prize.

Grand Prizes:

  • 1st place - $500,000
  • 2nd place - $300,000
  • 3rd place - $200,000

Parish Prizes

  1. 14 customers will win $25,000 each
  2. 1 winner for each parish
  • NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
  • A total of 5 attempts will be made over a 5-day period via the various communication channels established on the account - including telephone numbers, and email and service addresses to advise that the person has won a prize. In instances where this is possible, a physical visit would be made by an NWC representative to the service addresses. The person would be required to provide the correct information as to the account number and the service address.

    There will be no backup winners.

    NWC will arrange for the presentation of prizes as soon as claimants come forward with proof of payment. Valid ID (Passport, Driver’s Licence, National/Voter`s ID) is required to claim prizes. Winning Account Numbers will be published in The Gleaner on Sunday –March 3, 2024; the Star, March 6, 2024, Jamaica Observer, Friday, March 1 & 8, 2024 and on the NWC Website, Social Media Pages (Twitter, Facebook), with winners urged to contact the nearest NWC Commercial Office with proof of payment.

  • CLAIMING PERIOD
    • Once all contact channels have been exhausted and prize(s) remain unclaimed for 2 months, the prizes will be donated to schools, children’s home or charities of the National Water Commission’s choosing. All prizes must be collected by April 30, 2024.
    • All documentation relating to the promotion will be audited and retained by the National Water Commission for a period of 90 days after the completion of the promotion
